I am so excited to celebrate the debut of a custom videographer Showit website design for Julia and Tony of Zeitlos Studios! When Julia asked us to create a new website for Zeitlos Studios (previously JK Design + Film), she was completely rebranding her wedding videography business and ready to invest in a beautiful, engaging, and mobile-friendly website.

Why did you choose to work with me for your project?
I knew that I wanted to move my website from Squarespace to Showit, but after playing around Showit on my own, I knew that I couldn’t accomplish my overall vision by myself. I just didn’t have the time or motivation to learn a new program. If I was going to invest in a new brand, I wanted to do it right from the start.
I decided to start looking around for Showit designers and I was overwhelmed with the options. I stopped looking and a few days later, I noticed that Mary followed me on Instagram and was interacting with my posts. I took this as a sign and decided to reach out. I was so impressed with her own website, quick email responses and overall process. I also loved the idea of supporting a fellow woman entrepreneur. After talking on the phone, I felt at ease and like she was the perfect fit to elevate our brand to the next level.
How did you feel before working together?
When I was playing around in Showit, I was feeling defeated that I couldn’t do something on my own. I think as a small business owner, it’s in our blood to think we can do everything on our own. We are our own accountants, designers, marketers, HR, etc. on top of doing the overall job. It’s scary to put your money and trust into a stranger. From our first email interaction to our phone call, I felt completely at ease and confident taking this step in our business.
What’s your favorite part of your new Showit website?
I honestly can’t pick one thing. I’m so in love with everything. I definitely love all the video elements and movement on the site. I catch myself scrolling through it at least 5 times a day.
What was your favorite part of the website design process and working with MKDS?
I will never forget that feeling when I got the initial homepage design. My heart stopped. I just couldn’t believe that something I’ve been dreaming of was becoming a reality. This was the first project that we delegated with our new name and branding and it was so cool to see everything come together.
I remember thinking, “oh my gosh, I am not cool enough to have this be my website!!!” A close second favorite moment was seeing all the video elements inserted and watching the site come to life. I can’t believe this is mine!! I’ve worked so hard to get here and everything there is a product of what I’ve done. SO COOL.
Did we successfully accomplish your goals for the project?
Exceeded them!! I know that this site will open so many doors for us. I can’t wait to create new goals and come back with more ideas in the future.
How do you think this updated videographer showit website will impact your business?
I think this updated look launches us into a whole new category in our local market. The overall look, feel & functionality justifies our prices and will attract the couples that we want to work with. I can’t wait to get our first inquiry!!
What advice would you offer someone who is on the fence about investing in custom website design?
JUST. FREAKING. DO. IT. I can’t stress enough the importance of having a modern, easy-to-navigate hub to host your business information. Clicking between the website I designed in Squarespace on my own and the custom design that Mary did in Showit is UNREAL. The uniqueness, care and overall professionalism of a custom site is unmatched. I always knew how important it was but the investment intimidated me. I knew it was worth it, but I was scared to take the step. It is SO WORTH IT.
How would you sum up your experience with MKDS? Would you recommend me to a friend?
The best business investment we’ve ever made. Period. No need to elaborate or justify further. AND HECK YES. Will recommend to every person I meet.
