Based in Charleston, Christina is a wedding and portrait photographer who beautifully captures meaningful and authentic moments. Eager to align her online presence with her elevated photography experience, Christina turned to MKDS for assistance in crafting a new brand and website. Together, we made sure her new brand and website resonate harmoniously with the cherished memories she captures.
MK Design Studio artfully crafted Christina’s new brand and exuberant Showit website, enriching them with vibrant details. By infusing pops of color, we highlighted Christina’s delightful personality, while maintaining a sense of professionalism and cohesiveness throughout her entire site. What is your favorite part of your new website?
Is everything a valid answer?! Because I am OBSESSED with my entire site!! I love how Mary customized my tonic template in a way that flows smoothly as you scroll the pages. I wanted my site to be fun and colorful, and I love all the pops of color she implemented without it being too overwhelming, or in your face. The site just looks SO polished and professional. I have gotten so many compliments both from friends and clients on how professional and elevated it looks compared to my old site!
Why did you choose to work with MKDS?
I chose to work with Mary because she came well recommended by MANY people!! After hearing her name pop up among various Facebook groups and people I know, I took a look at her Instagram page and fell in love with all the different designs she created!! After my initial phone call with Mary, I could see she was passionate about her work and a great fit for me!
How did you feel before working on this project together?
I was hesitant to hire a brand/web designer at first because I am so Type A/perfectionist and like to be in control of my projects. However, I just didn’t have the time (or creativity) to create a brand/site that would WOW clients and help elevate my brand to the higher-end market. Mary eased all my worries – she was a wonderful communicator and was so easy to work with.

What advice would you offer to someone who is on the fence about investing in custom branding and website design? How do you think this update will impact your business?
INVEST IN YOURSELF!! And leave it to the professionals. As someone who was on the fence about investing in custom branding/website design, I get it. I know how scary it can be to invest so much in someone else. As a stubborn perfectionist, I tried to update my brand/design for months. I grew so frustrated when it wasn’t turning out the way I wanted it to. But I’m not a professional brand/web designer. It got to the point where I realized investing in a professional was my best option (both for my business and my sanity). And let me tell you, it is worth every penny and MORE!! Not only was it such an easy and stress-free experience, but the end result was better than I ever could have imagined!! I have gotten SO many compliments on it from past/future clients, and I 100% believe it is going to bring my business to the next level.

1000% worth it!! Couldn’t have asked for a smoother process and a better end result

Thank you Mary (and team) for working with my crazy busy photographer/nurse schedule, listening to all my wants and needs and idea changes, and making this such a positive experience. I LOVED working with you and don’t think I’ll ever stop obsessing over my brand and site!
