Amanda of AB Content Services is also a creative business owner based in the Indianapolis area! She’s been an entrepreneur for seven years but this is her first website! I was beyond honored to design Amanda’s new branding and Showit website. One of Amanda’s main offerings in her business is copywriting for websites and blogs so you know I was excited to design with her website content! I asked her all about her experience working with me for branding and web design so check out what she had to say below!
What’s your favorite part of your new website?
The fact that I even have one at all now! If I had to choose specifics, I’d say the portfolio just because that had been my roadblock for so long, and you were able to visualize and put it together! Plus I like the style and branding, it’s nice to have that clean, professional, cohesive look down.
What was your favorite part of the website design process and working with MKDS?
Mary, you were extremely easy to work with, I felt as a small business owner yourself, you were able to understand my challenges and help me with them. I liked your guided process, that was very helpful. Made the whole thing seem less overwhelming and broke it down into understandable pieces.
How do you think this updated look will impact your business?
I think it’ll be a great asset! I just ordered my business cards this morning, I’m excited to have a real, professional online presence that people will see when they work with me.
What advice would you offer someone who is on the fence about investing in custom website design?
Just do it already. How much time have you wasted already not doing it yourself? I waited nearly 7 years because I built a few websites back in the day and figured I could just do it myself… clearly I never did. I’ve been operating a professional business for 7 years without a dang website, the most essential business marketing basic. People hire me because I am a professional in what I do, they need knowledge and skills they don’t have – I should’ve used that same thinking in hiring a web designer a long time ago.
How would you sum up your experience with MKDS?
Pretty chill, smooth processes, mary is very thorough in explaining things and works quickly.
