We are celebrating the official launch of Boldt Darsey because their website is LIVE! We’ve been working with Boldt Darsey’s founder Madeline over the last months to establish their branding visuals and to design and build their Squarespace e-commerce website. We are beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and are feeling so blessed by our incredible clients! We asked Madeline all about the branding and web design process with MKDS and we are excited to share what she said with you today!
What’s your favorite part of your new branding?
I don’t know if I could even pick a favorite part of our new branding. I absolutely love our logos, colors, fonts, everything. I think my favorite thing about the branding is that you created something that communicates the feel, aesthetic and quality of our brand perfectly. The branding speaks for our brand before we even need to and that, to me, means it’s perfect. You nailed it.
What was your favorite part of the brand + web design process and working with MKDS?
My favorite part of the process was waking up to emails from you with new things to review or look at. It was like getting a present in the mail each time. My favorite part about working with you was hands down your professionalism, your work ethic, and how you hit every single deadline in the midst of other projects and planning a wedding. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate how hard you worked during this important time in your life and how professional you are constantly. You were absolutely a dream to work with.
What’s your favorite part of your new website?
I love how clean it is, how easy to navigate it is. I love that you carried the aesthetic of the branding into the site as well and continued that visual communication for our brand and aesthetic. I absolutely love it.
Did we successfully accomplish your goals for the project?
YES! Completely, above and beyond, I couldn’t be happier!
How do you think this updated look will impact your business?
I think it will have an incredible impact. I feel SO confident sharing my brand with the world not just because I know we have really quality products, but because I know when they look at our website or the branding on social media etc, what they see will tell them about the quality and aesthetic of our brand without us even needing to say it. I am so grateful for that and so excited to move forward as a business because of the branding and website we now have.
What advice would you offer someone who is on the fence about investing in custom branding and/or website design?
DO IT. I was a little nervous to spend the money at first, so I can understand hesitations about the investment. But you just absolutely cannot overlook the time and stress it will save you to entrust it to someone WAY more capable that you. Working with Mary, who is a consummate professional and wildly talented, took so much stress and pressure off of me and allowed me to focus on the things where I am more skilled. I would make the decision to work with Mary again a million times over.
How would you sum up your experience with MKDS?
It was truly a dream. I feel genuinely sad that it’s over. Getting your emails and working through things together, then seeing the beautiful results, has been one of the highlights of this entire business process so far. I am so, so grateful for all your hard work and truly cannot thank you enough. I am blessed to call you a friend at the end of this process and I know this won’t be our last project together. Madeline has done an amazing job at using her branding since we launched! She ordered these fun clothing tags in two different styles, has mastered updating her own website (WIN!), and put together a wonderful packaging experience for shipping her beautiful products.
