Elizabeth DiGiusto of Satin & Stems is a wedding florist in the Indianapolis area who is always dreaming up beautiful new creations. She now has a custom brand and website design to properly display her stunning work. Elizabeth thrives on problem-solving and creating full experiences for her clients, so she came to MKDS hoping to develop a brand and website that would help attract her ideal client and free up her time to focus on doing what she loves – creating.

Why did you choose to work with me for your project?
I am a big fan of supporting small businesses, and I wanted to hire someone with that in mind. I saw your previous work had a lot of “simple but sophisticated“ designs and that was my style.
How did you feel before working together?
I was overwhelmed by work and wanted to get more backend business stuff done, but I never had the time.
What’s your favorite part of your new branding?
I love that it is done- haha. By that I mean I have a folder with everything ready, and I can so easily implement each design into everything I do. Saving time is my goal right now.
I am so in love with the “&” symbol and I believe finding the right font was key to me liking everything. I was surprised with the one chosen, but when looking through the whole presentation, it was clear it was perfect.
What’s your favorite part of your new website?
I love how everything flows well. It makes me want to keep scrolling and go to different pages just to see more. It’s interesting!! I have seen a lot of websites where I didn’t care to look at all of the “stuff” placed on the page. This is like a good magazine where everything is relevant.
What was your favorite part of the design process and working with MKDS?
I really appreciated the systems. They were very helpful and easy to work within. Your advice along the way was really important to me too.
Did we successfully accomplish your goals for the project?
Yes!
How do you think this updated look will impact your business?
I truly believe you attract what you put out there, and I have already had two ideal clients inquire, so it must be exactly the right look for my business.
What advice would you offer someone who is on the fence about investing in branding design?
Getting a professionally designed logo can really be important because it’s the face of your business. We all know that we want to look our best when attracting potential clients, and this is just part of that. Having something you are proud of resonates through everything you do!
Having a package of digital logos, branding color codes, and exact fonts saves soo much time when creating marketing materials. I am so glad to have one for myself now.

What advice would you offer someone who is on the fence about investing in custom website design?
I have seen so many very successful small businesses have a website that wasn’t quite right in one way or another, and it, unfortunately, brings down some of the credibility of that business for the viewer. I know reviews help, but I really want to make sure that every part of my company instills trust and reliability. Having a professional website is instantly visible, just as much as having a non-professional designed website is. When the ability to do it financially is there, this is a must first step!! It’s an investment that definitely gives you a great return because you attract your ideal client, and it’s constantly working FOR you.
How would you sum up your experience with MKDS? Would you recommend me to a friend?
I would definitely recommend MKDS, especially to busy professionals. Someone that can study you and has the intuition to take everything about your business and make it better looking is not found just anywhere, but I really felt Mary did that for me. It made my workload in this process less than I was expecting, which was invaluable to me. I went on two vacations with my kids during this process and was able to relax! All of the feedback has been positive, and the people who really know me have exclaimed how “ME” everything is. Also, the website is absolutely beautiful!!!
